Hives in winter

We often get questions about what beekeepers can do for their bees during the winter. And after a long season of caring for your bees, you may welcome the break which cold weather offers. But that doesn’t mean you should just forget about them completely for the next few months.

Because of its limited scope, winter beekeeping can be a very satisfying and productive way to spend a fine, calm, winter’s day out in the fresh air. It’s good for the bees, too.
