This specialty cut-comb frame features a split top bar which is pinched together and secured with staples to hold the comb foundation. This thinner top bar with a slot down the middle allows you to open the slot and easily insert foundation. Comb foundation is very fragile and should not be forced or bent during installation.
The split top bar is thinner (7/16") than our standard top bar to produce a 4-9/16" high x 17" wide cut comb area.
Nails, foundation, and staples not included. Pick up our nail kit with enough nails for 20 frames. Size "T50" staples are recommended for pinching the saw cut closed to hold the foundation.
Foundation (not included): standard shallow cut comb foundation (4-3/4" tall) is slightly too short to fill the entire frame and will hang freely without touching the bottom bar. If you already have a medium super, you can use it for cut comb frames.
