Betterbee offers a selection of yellow and white candlemaking beeswax, 100% beeswax embossed colored candle sheets for rolled candles, and even Bayberry wax to blend with beeswax.
Our beeswax is a pure, unbleached beeswax that has been pressure filtered. It has a beautiful color and that distinctive beeswax scent. Beeswax has been a prized substance for thousands of years. It is used in products ranging from candles and cosmetics to lubricants and hand creams. It takes approximately 8 pounds of nectar for a honeybee colony to produce 1 lb. of wax. Natural beeswax varies in color from a light yellow to orange yellow due to many factors, including nectar source, age of the wax, and how heavily trafficked on (by tiny bee feet!). Our cleaned yellow beeswax has been heated and debris has been filtered out. One pound of wax makes roughly six 12” tapers.
White beeswax is pure, unbleached beeswax that has been pressure filtered. It boasts a beautiful ivory color and a sweet beeswax scent. Whitened beeswax is ideal for projects where you desire a light color finished product or if you want to add colorants. Our whitened beeswax contains NO BLEACH.You will also find that there is no residue at the bottom of our wax.
And if beeswax candles are the Mercedes of candles, one can also say that Bayberry candles are the Rolls-Royces of candles! These are made by adding bayberry wax to your beeswax. We recommend experimenting with different blends, but for tapers we prefer a 50/50 blend. Bayberry candles are especially popular during the winter holidays.
Both beeswax and Bayberry candles add a wonderful distinctive scent to the room. They are especially popular during the winter holidays. And you won’t be able to find better quality candlemaking beeswax anywhere than at Betterbee!
