BeeMax® Increase Kit
The fastest, easiest, and most cost-effective way to expand the number of colonies in your beeyard. Comes with all the parts of a traditional hive configuration in one package. You’ll save over the price of buying the pieces individually. Available in 10 Frame only.
Thee BeeMax® Increase Kit is sold with unassembled Deep Hive Bodies and Medium Honey Supers. However, the beauty of our BeeMax® products is just how easy they are to put together. Each Hive Body and Super takes less than a minute to assemble (far less time than their wooden equivalents).

When chosing plastic frames or plastic foundation, we highly recommend that you apply extra beeswax to the frames to increase the acceptance by the bees and to entice them to draw it out faster. You can buy assembled frames with the extra wax already painted on, or you can buy beeswax and paint it on yourself (melt it in a double boiler and use a foam paintbrush), or melt down the beeswax cappings and scrapings you saved from last year and paint it on using a foam paintbrush.
The Increase Kit Includes:
• BeeMax® Telescoping Outer Cover
• Wooden Inner Cover for BeeMax®
• 2 BeeMax® Medium Supers
• 20 Medium Frames*
• 2 BeeMax® Deep Hive Bodies
• 20 Deep Frames*
• Queen Excluder*
• Beemax® Bottom Board with Built-in Varroa Screen
• Varroa Monitoring Equipment (Optional)*
* Denotes a kit component with options.

Introduced in 2000, Betterbee® started this line of ultra-insulating polystyrene hive equipment to give honeybee colonies a better chance at overwintering in extreme Northern temperatures, while also helping to keep your colony cool in the hot summer months. A long-time manufacturer of wooden beehives said, "BeeMax® offers a better hive for wintering bees. This, and more mite resistant bees, may be the salvation of American beekeeping."
This quote illustrates how revolutionary BeeMax® Polystyrene hive bodies are. Start off your new hobby or update your old one with the best and most up-to-date equipment. Your bees will get off to a faster start in these hives, make more surplus honey for you and your family, and survive the winter better than in a wooden hive.
