Betterbee currently offers two easy to use pollen traps in an age when beekeeping isn't always easy. The 10 frame is the well-known Sundance version. The 8 frame features a slightly modified design. On both, a collection drawer that is easy to access from the rear of the hive means you can collect more, often unencumbered by disturbing the hive entrance.  Frequent harvesting ensures freshness. The integrated luan cover protects the pollen from debris that falls within the hive, but you should still check over the pollen and remove any debris that is brought in by the foraging honeybees.

The 8 frame trap features a simple on/off switch in the form of a bar. With a simple turn, you can start collecting your own pollen.

PTRAPB

I bought this product last year so I have two seasons of experience with it. It's easy to use and does a great job. Bees seem to adjust easily to the change in entry way. Key is to not leave it in the "on" mode more than 3 days to allow adequate pollen for the bees.
