Shim for 5 Frame Nuc Boxes

A handy device for top feeding pollen substitute or applying pesticide patties - now specially designed for our BeeMax Nuc Boxes!  Place them under the cover of the Beemax Nuc Box to create a 1-1/2” space.  They come unassembled, but are predrilled and include screws.

Note: One beneficial aspect of using a shim is that from the bees’ comb building activity in the spring, one can determine when the bees are ready to be transferred to a regular hive. If they start filling that empty space above the frames, you know you need transfer the colony.
