BeeMax® Telescoping Outer Cover for BeeMax® Hives

Designed to go right on top of a BeeMax hive body or medium super, this polystyrene outer cover has an R value of 6.5. It will keep your bees dry and cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. No inner cover it required. These covers will pop off the hive body in the spring with a hive tool. Because of the absense of drafts between the cover and the hive body, the bees seem to propolize the cover down less than they do on a wooden top.

Hint 1: As with any cover, you should always place a stone on top of the cover to keep it
from blowing off.

Hint 2: Lighter and easier to remove than a galvanized top. Simply place your palm in the center, apply pressure, and gently pull up at each of the corners.
