The 8 frame supers can weigh 10-20 lbs less than 10 frame equipment and not only are the boxes lighter, they are smaller and easier to carry.

This professional grade kit made from long-lasting 7/8" Eastern Pine includes everything you need to start your first year of beekeeping, excluding the bees. We've also added a Varroa Screen of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and a 3 gallon hive top feeder. It comes either fully assembled (all hive bodies, frames and supers already assembled and ready to use) with plastic frames/assembled wooden frames with Pierco foundation or unassembled with wooden frames and crimp-wired foundation.
